Interclub Round 2 - hosted by Leeds Co Op 11/11/20

Last night was the Interclub Colour Group competition, where we met with 9 other clubs for Round 2 of 4 via Zoom with nearly 100 attendees dialled in.

Our judge was Steve Womack CPAGB AFIAP LRPS from Wakefield, who had the unenviable job of judging 50 digital images.

The hosts were Leeds Co Op Photographic Society, who had chosen the Set Subject as Industrial Heritage. The Set Theme for this round was Sports Action and Photojournalism, with General images being shown last.

Steve commented on each image, with clear, concise and constructive comments and his appreciation on the variety of genres shown.

Congratulations to HPIC members Kevin Lloyd with image ‘Iranian Icon’ and Lisa Buck with the image ‘Spotlight’, which both scored 20 on the night.

We scored 92 points in this round, giving us a score of 182. This puts us in the overall lead of the competition, 4 points clear of our nearest rivals with two more rounds to go. As far as we know we've never opened up and held on to a lead in the first two rounds in the history of the competition. Here's hoping we can keep up this excellent form as we go into the final two rounds.

Round 3 and round 4 will follow in the Spring of 2021.
